Absolutely! There is no charge, fee, or any sort
of payment needed to use Christian Date. We do not charge if you
add your profile and we do not charge anyone if they would like to
contact you, either. Christian Date was set up entirely for one
reason and that is to give Christian singles a way to meet in a
non-obtrusive, online manner and with absolutely no cost or obligation.
Christian Date is very simple and easy to use.
There are three steps and you will be on your way to finding that
special someone. First, add your profile to
Christian Date by clicking "Join" above in the yellow toolbar. Second, after
you have added your profile then click on "Find a match" above and
enter your personal preferences for the type of Christian single that
you would like to find. Submit this information and Christian Date
will return to you the profiles of all the Christian singles that match
your criteria. Simply scroll through and read the detailed
descriptions of each person. Third, when you find a profile that
catches your eye; simply e mail that person using your free Christian
Date mail account. Now it is up to you and the
other single you've contacted to stay in touch and find out more about
each other. All the while, other singles may be contacting you in
response to the profile that you previously submitted. Its fun,
easy and quick and its only at Christian Date!
To add your profile to Christian Date, press
"Join" above, which is in the top yellow toolbar. The screen to add your information will then be
retrieved. Complete this the information asked for in its entirety and press the "Add my information!" button at
the last page. Your information will then be added to
our database. When someone is searching and finds your profile, it
will be formatted automatically into an easy to read paragraph or two that includes all of the information that you
submitted with your profile. Except for your
personal information!
Finding a Christian single is easy using Christian
Date. Simply press "Find a match" in the yellow toolbar
above. Then put in the parameters that you
would like to search for and press "Find my match!". Christian Date, using the criteria that you
selected, will display the profile of all Christian singles that matched
your request. Using these profiles, you will be able to learn more
about each individual person and when you find one that catches your eye
then e mail that person using your free Christian Date mail account. Once, you have found someone and e-mailed them, it is
entirely up to you and the other single to keep in touch and find out
more about each other. Good luck and may you find a Christian
Date! Before searching, you must first add
your own profile to Christian Date.
Yes, at this time all users of Christian Date must be
18 years or older.
Yes. To remove your profile from Christian Date,
click on the [View / Edit Profile] link on your Members Page. At the bottom of
this page, click the [Edit Profile] link . At the bottom of the
Edit Profile page, press the Delete Button. Please note,
you will not be asked to confirm your deletion. Your profile will
be removed immediately after pressing Delete! To
edit your profile, follow the same directions, make the necessary
changes and press the Update button. DO
NOT press delete to edit your profile. Please note that if
it appears that your changes have not been saved, this means that one or
more fields in your profile were left unselected. To allow your
changes to be saved, carefully review all of the fields and be sure each
one is selected by choosing a value.
Why
can't I see my own profile during a search?
Since every new profile is reviewed by a Christian
Date staff member, it can take up to 12 hours for your profile to be
available to search. Your profile will also be queued for review
after you add new pictures, edit your profile's content, or change your
e mail address. If any part of your profile
is deemed unacceptable, it will not be added and you will not be
notified. To be sure your profile is
added, use acceptable language and BE SURE YOUR PICTURES ARE UPLOADED

How
do I recover my User Name or Password?
To recover your User Name and Password; click Log In,
which is located in the yellow toolbar above. You will see an
area to enter your e mail address on the page you will be taken
to. Be sure to enter the e mail address that
you used for your Christian Date membership! Your User Name
and Password will be e mailed to you immediately.

I
am not receiving the account activation e mail!
Be sure that you have entered your e
mail address correctly. To verify this, sign in to Christian Date.
If your e mail address is not verified, you will be locked to a page
that requires you to do so. On this page, correctly enter your e
mail address and press the Re-Send e mail button. This will immediately
send a new confirmation e mail to the address that you entered.
Simply, click on the link in the e mail to verify your account. Be
sure that you are online when you click the link. You will be
directed to the Christian Date website and it will automatically accept
the confirmation and allow you to Log In.

Why
don't I see a link in my e mails from Christian Date?
99.9% of email accounts accept html e mail. The
link that is sent is sent as an html e mail. If the link does
appear broken, please change your email address to one that will accept
html e mail.

Why
do I see a red X where my picture should be?
Either you pressed stop while your picture was being
uploaded, pressed the Upload button more than once or your Internet
connection was lost while in the process of uploading your file.
To prevent this in the future, be sure that your computer is connected
to the Internet, only press the Upload button once and be patient while
your picture is being uploaded. If you would like to remove your
pictures and set them back to the default "no picture
available", simply press the Remove Pictures and Voice Clip button
on the Upload Page.

Why
does it say "Your file you are uploading is too large."?
Your picture is too large. Try cropping the
background out of the picture and resize it to no larger than 175 pixels
wide and 200 pixels tall. There are many freeware and inexpensive
programs that can help you edit your pictures. We
do not promote any one in particular and cannot make any suggestions.

How
does my Christian Date mail account work?
Your Christian Date mail account works just like
traditional e mail accounts. Send, receive, and reply. You
may also click the Inbox, Sent Mail and Deleted Mail links to change
folders. You
can even view a sender's profile by clicking their User Name, before you
respond to their message. Do not send
personal information over your mail account! Do delete
an e mail message, click the corresponding trash can and confirm the
delete on the next page. This will move the message into your
Deleted Mail folder. Please note, if you believe an e mail should
be displayed and it is not, this is due to one of the following
reasons. Either the person who sent you an e mail has not been
reviewed or your profile has not been reviewed by the Christian Date
staff. We do not read actual e mail messages.

I
can't find any matches. Why?
Christian Date has just completed implementation of
all its new features. This requires our existing Members to log
back in and activate their membership. This is happening right
now. Please give it a bit for time for all of our Members to
re-activate their accounts. Keep checking back!

Why does my search always search an entire
state?
You are able to search by a particular city or an
entire state. If you select both a city and a state, the search
will default to searching the entire state. To prevent this, make
sure the city or state drop-down menu is set to "Select One"
that you do not want to use in your search!

Why do I hear a clicking sound or see a
page keep reloading?
Christian Date recently developed a browser based
Instant Message system. This system is far advanced in that it
does not require any type of download for members to use the
system. Every 5 seconds, we instruct your browser to check and see
if you have any new Instant Messages. This is why you see the page
reloading or hear a click. This will not at all effect your
Christian Date experience. We are able to "turn" the
clicking off in Netscape, but Internet Explorer does not allow us to
program that yet. Suggestion if your using Internet Explorer, turn
your speaker volume down or off. :)

Can I change 1 picture without deleting all
of them?
Yes, simply upload a new picture over the old
one. If you want to revert any picture back to the default
"No Picture Available", you will need to delete everything.

Why does it say Login again after 20
minutes?
This message is displayed when you do not log out
properly and close your browser window. To prevent from seeing
this message in the future, always click Logout. The Logout link
is located in the yellow toolbar on your Member Homepage!

How do I upload a Voice Clip?
Click the Update link to the right of Pictures / Voice
on your Homepage. Select "Voice Clip" as the file type
and follow the directions listed on that page. We suggest
recording your voice clip using Windows® Sound Recorder. You will
need a microphone on your computer to use this method. To access
Sound Recorder; from your Start Menu choose Programs / Accessories /
Entertainment / Sound Recorder. Click the record button and record
up to 10 seconds for your voice clip. To save the file; select
File / Save As. In the new window; enter a filename, be sure that
"Sounds (*.wav)" is selected for Save As Type and then to the
right of Format press the Change button. In the Sound Selection
window choose "Telephone Quality" and press OK. This
window will close and press Save in the original Save As window.
Now, upload your new Voice Clip to your profile!

Why am I locked at update my profile?
Once you complete the initial join page, you are required to complete your profile
to begin using Christian Date. Be certain that every single item is completed BEFORE
attempting to Update/Complete your profile or your changes will be lost. Once every
single item is completed, click the Update Button. If all of your changes took, that
means that your profile is complete and you may begin using all of the features of
Christian Date!
